Our offering, La Estrella, is made up of the coffee from 16 different producers in the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica. The high elevations, rich volcanic soil, and temperate climates of Tarrazu offer some of the most distinctive coffees in the country. Farmers contributing to La Estrella all share a common focus on sustainable growing systems, environmentally friendly processing techniques, and reducing their carbon footprint. Their coffee trees are kept fresh with proper shade management and organic nutrients to the soil. Fertilization is carefully considered based on an annual soil analysis. Water sources on the farm are protected from pollution. Specialized fruit trees are even grown to feed the nearby wildlife.
We especially selected La Estrella for its sweet classic profile with notes of crisp red apple, brown butter, pecan, and milk chocolate. Please enjoy!
