The Gera farm is stretched over the highland areas of the Gera district, reaching heights of 1900-2100 masl. The farm is run based on sustainable principles which means they strive to protect the environment while farming. All coffee is cultivated using organic fertilizers only and shade grown under acacia, gravely, and juniper plants. Water conservation is practiced via the monitoring of waste water during the washing process, and soil conservation practiced through the growth of nitrogen fixing plants. Additionally, the Gera farm provides for the needs of all their employees with housing, schooling, portable water, electricity, health care, and recreation facilities free of charge.
The cup profile produced by the Gera Farm is pristine and juicy with refreshing citrus and stone fruit notes and then finishes with a lingering rich vanilla and floral bouquet. Enjoy!
